I chose to go in the medicine to have a career that was intellectually challenging and that also provided the clear and tangible benefit to people.
I provide general pediatric care, from ages birth through 18, and older in some special circumstances. My interests are in nutrition, digestive health, and physical fitness. I also welcome medically complex children, such as those with cerebal palsy or developmental disorders. I am comfortable caring for children with multiple chronic medical issues or complexity.
Routine check ups and well care, Acute and chronic illness in children, respiratory illnesses, gastrointestinal issues (abdominal pain, constipation, etc).
I believe children grow best when they have healthy lifestyles, to include plenty of social interactions, play, exercise, and excellent nutrition. I am passionate about helping parents understand the importance of healthy eating choices and how that can impact their children’s health. Children face a large number of new pressures nowadays and I feel that it is vitally important for pediatricians and parents to be aware of them. I am a believer in minimizing medication use in children as much as possible.
Helping parents and families navigate the medical system and understand their children’s health. I like to think of myself as an interpreter of medical information. I encourage Spanish speaking families and children to join the practice
I work extremely hard at optimizing my Spanish language skills and enjoy being a resource to Spanish speaking patients
